Yangon – Pyay (Sri Kestra) – Akauk Taung - Yangon

Starting from Yangon, this trip will take you to all the unique places Myanmar has to offer. You will discover UNESCO world heritage site in Pyay (Sri Ksetra).

Itinerary Details

DAY 01. YANGON ARRIVAL ( – / L / D )

Upon arrival at the Yangon International Airport, you will be welcomed by Asia EZ Tour guide. You will be transfer to your hotel, for a chance to relax and refresh.

Visit first to the magnificent reclining Buddha CHAUK HTAT GYI Pagoda.

Proceed stroll through to the BOGYOKE AUNG SAN MARKET known as Scott Market (closed on Mondays and Public Holidays). A must visit for tourist; here you can see rows of stalls selling hundreds of gemstone, handicrafts, art, clothes and food stores.

From there, our tour through Yangon city with a visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monuments; the 2,600 years old SHWEDAGONE PAGODA. Once sunset arrives, glittering in the dark skyline, SHWEDAGONE PAGODA is indeed a sight to behold.

Lunch and dinner will be served at a local restaurant and you will be stay overnight in Yangon.


After breakfast, you will drive (approx. 5 hrs) to Pyay, also known as Prome which is located on the bank of Ayeyarwaddy River. Along the way you will pass through the green fields and see the ways of local people life. En-route, stops visiting at the Shwe Myet Hman Pagoda (it means The Buddha image wears the golden spectacles) which located at Shwe Taung a small town.

Upon arrival, you will check in to hotel and proceed visiting to the Sri Ksetra Ancient Pyu city from 1st to 9th A.D, the Hmawzar Archaeological Museum (closed on Mondays and Public holidays) to study Pyu’s historical artifacts. Later continue tours to the Bawbaw Gyi, Bebe Gyi, East and West Zegu pagodas, Leymyetna Pagoda.

Return to hotel and relax.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

Dinner and you will be stay overnight in Pyay.


After breakfast, drive (2 hrs) to the Htone Bo village where is a native town of Tha Khin Mya (one of the famous Independent Martyrs who died together with General Aung San at 19th July).

Upon arrival, you will take (15 mins) by boat to visit the Akauk Taung, a unique mountain stands on the river Ayeyarwaddy. You will see the numerous Buddha images of different sizes and posture are carved along the cliffs of the river bank.

After visit, return to Pyay and before transfer back to hotel, continue to visit the Shwe San Daw Pagoda where the Buddha tooth relic enshrined and also a great landmark of city.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
Dinner and you will be stay overnight in Pyay.


After breakfast at your hotel, drive back 5 hrs to Yangon. On the way, stop visiting at the Allied War Cemetery near HTAUKKYANT. It is a beautiful, well maintained peaceful cemetery and the final resting place for over 27,000 Allied soldiers.

After sightseeing, transfer back to hotel. The rest of the day is leisure.

Lunch will be served at local restaurant.

Dinner and you will be stay overnight in Yangon.


After breakfast at your hotel, spend your last day visiting in Yangon. Drive to visit the STRAND RORAD and land mark of STARD HOTEL (note: just outside). Then, you will have a look at the Pansodan Jetty where ferry to Dala on Yangon River. Proceed to see the colonial buildings along the Pansodan Street.

Then, move to the SULE PAGODA, which is located at the heart of Yangon down town area. We stop by KARAWEIK HALL, a unique golden barge on KANDAWGYI (Royal Lake) for taking photos. It is a place of perfect view of Shwedagon Pagoda.

Lunch will be served at local restaurant.

Transfer to the YANGON airport for international flight departure.
