Cultural Experience Tour
Yangon – Mandalay – Monywa – Pakkoku – Bagan – Heho – Inle Lake – Yangon (9 Days/ 8 Nights)

DAY 01. YANGON ARRIVAL ( – / L / D )

Upon arrival at the Yangon International Airport, you will be welcomed by Asia EZ Tour guide and transfer to your hotel.
In the afternoon, visit to the Chauk Htet Gyi Pagoda, famous for housing an enormous 65 meter long reclining Buddha statue.

From there, our tour through Yangon city with a visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monuments; the 2,600 years old Shwedagone Pagoda. Once sunset arrives, glittering in the dark skyline, Shwedagone Pagoda is indeed a sight to behold.

Lunch and dinner will be served at a local restaurant and you will be stay overnight in Yangon.


DAY 2. YANGON – MANDALAY – AMARAPURA (B /L / D)

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport for domestic flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, we begin the tour of Mandalay.

The scared Mahamuni Pagoda, one of the famous and a giant glittering golden Buddha statue in Mandalay.

The Shwe Inbin Monastery, Golden Palace (Shwe Nan Taw Monastery) is the only remaining building from the 19th century Royal Palace, following the bombings during World War 2.

Kuthodaw Pagoda, houses the world’s largest book, make up of 729 marble slabs onto which Buddha’s teachings are carved in ancient Pali scripts.

We will also visit to the crafting workshops to witness the incredible techniques of wood carving, gold leaf making and kalaga tapestry sewing.

We will end our day with heading to U Bein Bridge, 200 year old teak bridge. Enjoy panoramic sunset view on the Taung Tha Man Lake.

Lunch and dinner will be served at local restaurant and you will be stay overnight in Mandalay.


DAY 3. MANDALAY – SAGAING – MONYWA (B /L / D)

After breakfast at hotel, we head to Sagain Hill, 600 white painted pagodas, monasteries and nunnery.

You will visit to Swan Oo Pone Nya Shin, U Min Thone Sae and Kaung Mu Taw Pagodas.

From there, proceed driving up 1 hr to Monywa which located on the bank of Chindwin River. Upon arrival, start sightseeing to Thanbonde pagoda, a massive Buddhist complex pagoda. Continue to see the Bawdi Ta Htaung (1,000) Buddha images in a giant compound and Aung Sat Kyar Pagoda, which is a big standing Buddha in Myanmar.

Then, cross the Chindwin River by boat and then hop on a jeep for visiting to Pho Win Taung sandstone cave, famous for its numerous Buddha statues and mural painting. Also visit to the cave Shwe Ba Taung which is famous for its sculpture works by artistic U Shwe Ba.

Transfer to the hotel for check in.

Lunch and Dinner will be served at a local restaurant and you will be stay overnight in Monywa.


DAY 4. MONYWA – PAKKOKU – BAGAN (B /L / D)

After breakfast at your hotel, you will drive (1 hr) to Pakkoku, a town of central Myanmar located on the river Ayeyarwaddy.

After arrival, you will stroll through the local market, tobacco workshop, Thanankha production and slipper production workshop.

After that, you will enjoy lunch at local restaurant.

Then, proceed to Bagan by private boat (approximately 2 hours).

Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and check in.

Lunch and Dinner will be served at a local restaurant and you will be stay overnight in Bagan.


DAY 5. BAGAN (B /L / D)

After breakfast at your hotel, we begin the tour with visit to the famous Shwezigone Pagoda, considered the most wonderful and shouldn’t miss pagoda in Bagan.

Continue to  visit Wetkyi Inn Gupyaukgyi, a cave temple with exquisite mural paintings and the elegant Htilominlo Temple, noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations.

Then visit Ananda Pagoda, an architectural masterpiece.

In the evening, we resume our journey on horse cart and visit to Thatbyinnyu (the highest Pagoda in Bagan), Dhammayangyi (the largest Pagoda in Bagan).

Finally, we will finish the evening with an unforgettable sunset over the plains from the Sunset Hill viewpoints.

Lunch and dinner will be served at a local restaurant and you will be stay overnight in Bagan.


DAY 6. BAGAN (INDEIN) (B /L / D)

After breakfast at your hotel, we start  visiting to the colorful Nyaung Oo local Market.

You may also visit to the production of Pone Yeh Gyi and other local delicacies.

Then we will continue on to sites of Tayokepyay Temple in Minanthu Village, Phaya Thone Zu and Nandamanya Temples and Kyat Kan Cave.

Afterwards, we head to Myinkaba Village and visit Gubyaukgyi Temple, to admire the beautiful mural paintings and well-preserved plaster carvings. Nearby are Manuta Temple and Nan Paya Temple, two smaller temples known for its Buddha statues and stone work.

Lacquer ware and woodcrafts are two of Myanmar’s famous handicrafts. You will observe how these are made as we visit two workshops in Bagan.

Complete a day by watching sunset from the Bupaya Pagoda over the majestic Ayeyarwaddy River.

Lunch and Dinner will be served at a local restaurant and you will be stay overnight in Bagan.


DAY 7. BAGAN – HEHO – INLE LAKE (B /L / D)

After an early breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the Nyaung U airport for domestic flight to Heho. Upon arrival, drive (35 km – 1 ½ hrs) takes you to Nyaung Shwe city.

Then transfer to your hotel by boat for take some relaxation and refreshments. Be on the lookout for fishermen uses unique leg-rowing technique to propel their boats while casting their nets. This is a technique you will not see anywhere else.

Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, one of our stops, is the main sanctuary of Inle Lake. We can take a short walk to the many handicraft and textile stalls in the compound and a nearby boat house to see the royal barges used during the pagoda’s annual festival.

Your visit also include to the Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery, with a beautiful collection of ancient Buddha images.

Then proceed to the Nam Pan Village to observe the cheroot making factory and wooden boat making.
Finally, we head to the hotel in time to catch a beautiful sunset.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant on Inle Lake.
Dinner will be served at the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel on the lake.


DAY 8. INLE LAKE (INDEIN) (B /L / D)

After breakfast at the hotel, visit to the 5-day rotating morning lively market.

Continue to visit the weaving village, Inpawkhon and observe the production of fine shawls, scarves and longyi in silk, cotton and threads drawn from the stems of lotus plants.

Then we proceed to the western shore of the lake where you will find the beginning of a stair path leading to the Indein Pagoda complex.

In the late afternoon, after interacting with the people in the villages and traveling to one of the monasteries, we will return by boat to your hotel in Inle Lake.
On the way back, en-route stop visiting at the Padaung women (long neck ladies) in Ywa Ma village.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant on Inle Lake.
Dinner will be served at the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel on the lake.


DAY 9. INLE LAKE – YANGON – DEPARTURE (B /L / D)

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Heho airport for domestic flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, visit to the Sule Pagoda, which is located at the heart of Yangon down town area. Proceed stroll through to the Bogyoke Aaung San Market known as Scott Market. A must visit for tourist, here you can see rows of stalls selling hundreds of gemstone, handicrafts, art, clothes and food stores.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Yangon.

If time permit, we stop by Karaweik Hall, a unique golden barge on famous Kandawgyi Lake.

Transfer to the YANGON airport for international flight departure.
