Explore Colonial Legacy & Village Life

Mandalay – Pyin Oo Lwin – Bagan (CBT Magyeekan village) – Salay – Heho – Kalaw (Trekking) – Inle Lake – Yangon (10 Days/ 9 Nights)


Upon arrival at Mandalay International Airport, you will be welcomed by Asian EZ car and guide.Begin your day with one of the major pilgrimage site, Mahamuni Pagoda.

Continue to theShwe In Bin Monastery, (Golden Palace Monastery) which is the only remaining building from the 19th century Royal Palace, following the bombings during World War II.
Kuthodaw Pagoda houses the world’s largest book, make up of 729 marble slabs onto which Buddha’s teachings are carved in ancient Pali scripts.

We will also visit to the crafting workshops to witness the incredible techniques of wood carving, gold leaf making and kalaga tapestry sewing.

End the day with sunset view of the city skyline from Mandalay Hill, the highest point of the city.

Lunch and dinner will be served at local restaurant and you will be stay overnight in Mandalay.


After breakfast at your hotel, head to Sagaing, with over 600 white painted pagodas, monasteries and nunnery.

We will go and visit to the local market and also stop at a small pottery village to see the making of the clay water pots.

Continue to Ava (Inwa), an ancient capital of Myanmar from the 14th to 18th centuries. We will cross over the Myint Nge River by boat and explore the small roads by horse cart.

Then, visit to the Bargayar Teak Monastery, famous for its impressive woodcarvings and well preserved teak aged for over three hundred years.

Your visit also includes to Nanmyint Watch Tower which is the last standing structure of the Ava dynasty palace compound.

The final visit in Ava is Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Monastery. On the way back from Ava, we will take a quick detour to Amarapura and visit a traditional hand woven silk workshops.

Head to U Bein Bridge, 200 years old longest teak wood bridge in the world and enjoy sunset over there.
Return back to Mandalay.

Lunch and Dinner will be served at local restaurant.

After breakfast, we take a scenic drive (80km – 2h) to the former British hill station of Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo).

First, we will visit to the National Kandawgyi Botanical Garden, which is about 50 acre in size and contains more than 5,000 trees, 575 different floral species and various rare species of bird.

Next, we will visit to the Peik Chin Myaung Caves, located behind a waterfall.

After that proceed to Pwe Kauk Waterfall, known as Hampshire Falls during British times.
Drive back to Mandalay and return to your hotel.

Lunch and Dinner will be served at local restaurant.

Stay overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.


After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Bagan.

Upon arrival, proceed driving up 2 hrs to Salay. En-route, stops visiting at the Chauk local market.

First, visit to the famous cultural heritage site, Yoke Sone Kyaung Monastery. Continue to the Yadanarbon Buddha image.

Continue to visit colonial building, located along the river, which has been renovated into a restaurant and museum.

Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant.

Next, transfer to Magyeekan CBT village, a traditional Burmese village about 10 minutes drives from Salay.

Here, learn about the villager’s lives while wandering through dusty paths leading from the house to house.

Traditional Burmese meal will be served for the dinner in the village.

Stay overnight at the basic accommodation traditional style guesthouses at the village.


After a breakfast in the morning, take a stroll through the village and drive back to Bagan.

Upon arrival, visit to one of the oldest and most beautiful monument, Shwezigone Pagoda.

Then, visit to Wetkyi Inn Gupyaukgyi, a cave temple with exquisite mural paintings and the elegant Htilominlo Temple.

Continuing the tour of famous pagodas in Bagan, including Ananda Pagoda.

In the evening, resume your journey on a horse cart to the Thatbyinnyu (the highest Pagoda in Bagan), Dhammayangyi (the largest Pagoda in Bagan).

Sunset over the plains from the one of the sunset hill viewpoints.

Lunch and dinner will be served at a local restaurant and you will be stay overnight in Bagan.


After breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to the Nyaung U airport for your domestic flight to Heho.

Continue to the quiet town Kalaw, a former colonial British hill station, with local and colonial style houses.

Your visit also includes to the Nee Paya (Bamboo Strip Lacquer Buddha Image), Kalaw local market, old catholic church and Railway Station.

Lunch and Dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

Stay overnight at the hotel in Kalaw.


After breakfast at your hotel, meet with your trekking guide and start trekking to the Pein Ne Pin village.

You will passing through the plantations on the mountain slopes along the way.

Then, visit to the Palaung village and meet with the local family.

Enjoy delicous lunch prepared by the local guide.

After lunch, visit the Nuns monastery and proceed through orange farms and beautiful Shan mountain with tea plantations and arrive to meeting point and drive 15 minutes by car to Kalaw.

Duration of walking tour: 4 ½ hours

From Kalaw, continue driving up (2 hours) to Nyaung Shwe Jetty the main gateway to the Inle Lake. After arrival you will be transferred by private boat to your hotel on the Lake.

Dinner will be served at your hotel.

Stay overnight at the hotel on the Lake.


After breakfast at the hotel, visit to the 5-day rotating morning lively market.

Then, visit to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery, with a beautiful collection of ancient Buddha images.

Proceed to western shore of Inle Lake and visit Indein Pagodas complex, an amazing historical sight consist of hundreds of small stupas overgrown by moss and greens, on the shore of the lake.

After that visit to the weaving village of Inpawkhon and return back to your hotel.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

Dinner will be served at your hotel.

Stay overnight at the hotel on the Lake.


After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Heho airport for domestic flight to Yangon.

Upon arrival, have a look around the old colonial buildings and book shops.

Then, stroll through to the Bogyoke Aung San Market (Scott Market), Sule Pagoda (located at the heart of Yangon).  We stop by Karaweik Hall, a unique golden barge on Kandawgyi Lake.

Then, extended visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monuments; the 2,600 years old Shwedagone Pagoda.

Lunch and dinner will be served at a local restaurant in Yangon.
You will be stay overnight in Yangon.


After breakfast at your hotel, morning will be free is at your leisure until time of your departure flight.
