Insane Experience in Chin Mountainside Village

 

Yangon –Bagan – Sor Long Village – Nat Ma Taung – Mindat- Mandalay – Heho – Inle Lake – Yangon (11 Days/ 10 Nights)

 

DAY 01. YANGON ARRIVAL ( – / L / D )

Upon arrival at the Yangon International Airport, you will be welcomed by Asia EZ Tour guide and you will be transfer to your hotel.

Visit first to the magnificent reclining Buddha Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda.

From there, visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monuments; the 2,600 years old Shwedagone Pagoda.

Lunch and dinner will be served at a local restaurant and you will be stay overnight at the hotel in Yangon.


DAY 02. YANGON – BAGAN (B /L / D)

After a breakfast in the morning, transfer to the airport for domestic flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, we begin the tour with visit to the famous Shwezigone Pagoda.
Continue your visit to Wetkyi Inn Gupyaugyi, a cave temple with exquisite mural paintings and the elegant Htilominlo Temple, noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations.
Continuing the tour of famous pagodas Ananda Pagoda.
In the evening, we resume our journey to Thatbyinnyu, the highest Pagoda in Bagan, Dhammayangyi, the largest Pagoda in Bagan with the horse cart,
Finally, we will finish the evening with an unforgettable sunset over the plains from the one of the Sunset Hill viewpoints.
Lunch and dinner will be served at a local restaurant.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Bagan.


DAY 3. BAGAN – SOR LONG VILLAGE (B /L / D)

After an early breakfast at your hotel, you will depart from Bagan, there will be four hour drive among the forested mountain through beautiful landscapes.

On arrival you will be shown to your comfortable accommodation where you can relax after the drive.

After you will join the lunch, for traditional Chin food at the Community Lodge.

The afternoon offers time to meet the friendly Sor Long villagers who will guide you around their village observing of Chin Nature and Culture, Panoramic view and feeling to nature sense.

They will proudly showcase some of their local customs and talk about the famous Chin facial tattoos. The village musicians will treat you to a musical rendition of a bamboo flute, played through the nose.

For dinner, you will join the community, for traditional Chin food at the community lodge.

Basic accommodation will be provided and overnight stay at the village.


DAY 4. TREKKING TO KHAW NU SONE (NAT MA TAUNG/ MOUNT VICTORIA) (B /L / D)

Start the day with a traditional Chin style breakfast at the community lodge and drive to the base camp of Mt Khaw-Nau-Sone (17 kilometres away from the lodge).  Mt Khaw-Nau-Sone is part of the Chin mountain range with a height of 10,500 feet above sea level and one of the highest peaks of Southeast Asia. 

Upon arrival, prepare for a trekking up Khaw Nau Sone. This walk will take about four hours. A packed lunch will offer at the top of the mountain.
Return to base camp for a scenic drive back to Kanpletet, where we will visit one or two Chin ethnic groups, if time permits. You can see the tattooed face woman who play flute by her nose. After meet with your car and return back the Lodge.

Traditional Chin food and Chin Khaung (Traditional Beer) will offer for the dinner at the com­munity lodge.  Them, enjoy the Cultural dance by the villagers.

Basic accommodation will be provided and overnight stay at the village.


DAY 5. MINDAT (B /L / D)

After breakfast and start sightseeing to Mindut and environs. Mindat is situated 4860 feet above the sea level.
Visit to the hill tribe’s villages such as “NupHtai” village, Pan Au village, explore the traditional and culture of mountainside villages.

You will seen the beautiful chin women with their amber beads and lilting songs, play­ing the nose flute. Your visit also include to the Chin Museum.

This evening enjoy sunset at the waibutaung monastery.

Lunch and Dinner will be served at the local restaurant.
Overnight stay at Hotel in Mindut.


DAY 6. BAGAN (B /L / D)

Early morning visit the small market of the town. After breakfast leave from Mindat (7 ½ hrs) to Bagan.
Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel in the early evening.

Lunch will be served at local restaurant on the way.
Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Bagan.

 

 


DAY 7. BAGAN – MANDALAY – AMARAPURA (B /L / D)

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport for domestic flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, we begin the tour of Mandalay.

Begin your day with one of the major pilgrimage site, Mahamuni Pagod.

Continue to the Shwe In Bin Monastery (Golden Palace Monastery), which is the only remaining building from the 19th century Royal Palace, following the bombings during World War II.

Then visit Kuthodaw Pagoda (houses the world’s largest book), make up of 729 marble slabs onto which Buddha’s teachings are carved in ancient Pali scripts.

We will also visit to the crafting workshops to witness the incredible techniques of wood carving, gold leaf making and kalaga tapestry sewing.

We will end our day with heading to U Bein Bridge, 200 years old teak bridge built in 1782 . Enjoy the panoramic sunset view on the Taung Tha Man Lake.Lunch and dinner will be served at the local restaurant.

Stay overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.


DAY 8. MANDALAY – HEHO – INLE LAKE (B /L / D)

Upon arrival, drive (35 km – 1 ½ hrs) takes you to Nyaung Shwe city and transfer to your hotel by boat.You will see the fishermen uses unique leg-rowing technique to propel their boats while casting their nets.

Start your visit to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery with a beautiful collection of ancient Buddha images.

Proceed to the Nam Pan village to observe the cheroot making factory and wooden boat making.

Return back to your hotel and enjoy beautiful sunset there.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant and Dinner will be served at your hotel.

Overnight stay at the hotel on the Inle Lake.


DAY 9. INLE LAKE (INDEIN) (B /L / D)

After breakfast at the hotel, visit to the 5-day rotating morning lively market.

Continue to Inpawkhon, to visit the weaving work shops threads drawn from the stems of lotus plants.

Then we proceed to the western shore of the lake where you will find the beginning of a stair path leading to the Indein Pagoda complex.

Walk in an easy pace along one of the many creeks passing through rice fields to the villages of Sae Ma.
In the late afternoon, visit to a monastery and return back to your hotel by boat.
On the way back, en-route stop visiting at the Padaung women (long neck ladies).

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant and Dinner will be served at your hotel.
Overnight stay at the hotel on the Inle Lake.


DAY 10. HEHO – YAGNON (B /L / D)

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Heho airport for domestic flight to Yangon.

After arrival, visit to the Sule Pagoda, which is located at the heart of Yangon down town area and famous Bogyoke Aung San Market (Scott Market).
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Yangon.
After lunch, we stop by Karaweik Hall, a unique golden barge on Kandawgyi Lake.
Lunch and dinner will be served at a local restaurant and you will be stay overnight in Yangon.


Day 11. DEPARTURE YANGON (B/ – / -)


After breakfast, you will transfer to the Yangon airport for international flight departure.
