Heho – Sagar – Phekon – Loikaw – Panpet Village

(4 Days/ 3 Nights)

 

Overview:

In this trip, you will get the boat trip experience from Sagar to Phekon village, explore around the sightseeing in Loikaw and meet with the Kayan (Padaung) people in Panpet village.

Itinerary Details

DAY 1. HEHO – SAGAR – PHEKON – LOIKWE ( – / L / D )

After breakfast, board by boat to Nampan Village and proceed about 2 ½ hrs to Sagar (Samkar), situated on the southern region of the Inle Lake. During the boat trip, you will relax and enjoy the atmosphere of nature. Upon arrival, start visiting to the local villages and explore the lifestyles of the ethnic groups inhabited around Sagar.

From there, you are extended to visit the Tharkhong ruin ancient pagodas complex of 17th century and then head to the Phekon village; it takes another 3 hours by boat trip.

Then, driving up 1 hr by car to Loikaw, which is the capital of Kayah State and it also located on the North of State. Upon arrival, check in at hotel.

After refreshment, if time permit, continue to visit the Taung Kwe Zaydi, a remarkable pagoda of town and from here you will enjoy panoramic sunset view of Loikaw. Transfer back to hotel.

Lunch will be served at local restaurant.

Dinner and overnight stay in Loikaw.


DAY 2. LOIKAW SURROUNDING SIGHTSEEING (B /L / D)

After breakfast, you will visit to the Demawso regional market which is still attractive and you will have opportunity to see the ethnic groups who are wearing colorful traditional costumes. On the way, stops visiting at Ngwe Taung Sae (Dam).

In the afternoon, proceed driving to observe the Kayah State Cultural Museum and then visit to see the Kaehtobo making which is also known as (Ta Kun Taing in Myanmar), it will be used during the Kayah New Year celebration. Continue to see the traditional weaving shop before transfer to visit the mud volcanic lake named Htee Pwint Kan (Lake).
Return to hotel.

Lunch will be served at local restaurant.

Dinner and overnight stay in Loikaw.


DAY 3. LOIKAW – PANPET VILLAGE (B /L / D)

After breakfast, driving up 1 hr takes you to Panpet village where is the home of Kayan community (known as Padaung, long neck women).

Upon arrival, you will observe their traditional costumes, long bras rings decoration on their neck and also see the authentic ways of Paduang people living in the village.

Afterwards, extended visit to the nearby Padaung villages for interactions with these lovely Padaung/Kayan people, then you will return to Loikaw and transfer back to hotel.

Lunch will be served at local restaurant.

Dinner and overnight stay in Loikaw.


DAY 4. LOIKAW – YANGON (B /L / D)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for domestic flight back to Yangon.

  • Early check-in, late check-out. Normal check out time from hotels in Myanmar is 12 o’clock noon
  • Expenditure of a personal nature, such as drinks, souvenirs, laundry etc.
  • Christmas and New Year’s dinner supplement (will be advised at time of booking)
