Discover Ayeyarwaddy Dolphins & Extinct Volcano

 

Mandalay – Singu – Sheinmaga (Dolphins Tour) – Mandalay – Bagan – Yangon (7 Days/ 6 Nights)

 

DAY 1. MANDALAY ARRIVAL (- /L / D)


Upon arrival at Mandalay International Airport, you will be welcomed by Asian EZ.

Begin your day with one of the major pilgrimage site, Mahamuni Pagod.

Continue to the Shwe In Bin Monastery (Golden Palace Monastery), which is the only remaining building from the 19th century Royal Palace, following the bombings during World War II.

Then visit Kuthodaw Pagoda (houses the world’s largest book), make up of 729 marble slabs onto which Buddha’s teachings are carved in ancient Pali scripts.

We will also visit to the crafting workshops to witness the incredible techniques of wood carving, gold leaf making and kalaga tapestry sewing.

We will end our day with sunset view of the city skyline from Mandalay Hill, the highest point of the city.

Lunch and dinner will be served at the local restaurant.

DAY 02. MANDALAY – SINGU – HSITHE – MANDALAY (B /L / D)

After breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up at 08.00 am and drive to Hsithe.

At 10.00 am we arrive at Singu, an attractive small town on the left bank of the Ayeyarwady River.

Here you will be met by the village boat from Hsithe.

Arrive at 10.45, in time for light refreshment in the Visitor Centre. This attractive building is positioned on the east bank of the river with panoramic views. Often dolphins can be observed, feeding in the waters opposite.

Now you will learn to be a fisherman/woman! The training lasts one hour but it is great fun. Then, you go by fishing boat to shallow waters and practice your skills.  Lunch will served at the visitor center.

In the afternoon, you will go for a tour of the village which will be led by one of the villagers. It is a village of bullock carts, smiling children, and of communities going about their daily life. A life which is little changed over the centuries.

Then return back to Singu by boat and you will be transferred back to your hotel in Mandalay.

Dinner will be served at the local restaurant.

DAY 03. MANDALAY – SHEINMAGA – MYITKANGYI – MANDALAY (B /L / D)

After breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up at 08.00 am by car to Myitkangyi.
At 10.00 am you will arrive at the busy market town of Sheinmagaand met by the village boat.

We arrive in Myitkangyi at 11.35 and have some light refreshment in the Visitor Centre.

Then, join a village tour and observe the traditional designed wooden housses and living style of local people. You will also have chance to look at the handicraft making.

Lunch will be served at the visitor center.

In the afternoon, you will learn for one hour to become fishermen/women. You will be taught by the fishermen using specially designed, lightweight nets. First, you will cast on land and then you will go with the fishermen on a small fishing boat to a shallow area of the river and you will try and catch your own fish!

Return back to the village and take the boat back to Sheinmaga. If you are lucky, you may see a passing dolphin always a wonderful sight.

Around 18:30, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Mandalay.

Dinner will be served at the local restaurant.

DAY 4. MANDALAY – BAGAN (FULL DAY CITY TOUR) (B /L / D)


After a breakfast in the morning, transfer to the airport for domestic flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, we begin the tour with visit to the famous Shwezigone Pagoda.

Continue your visit to Wetkyi Inn Gupyaugyi, a cave temple with exquisite mural paintings and the elegant Htilominlo Temple, noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations.

Continuing the tour of famous pagodas Ananda Pagoda.

In the evening, we resume our journey to Thatbyinnyu, the highest Pagoda in Bagan, Dhammayangyi, the largest Pagoda in Bagan with the horse cart,

Finally, we will finish the evening with an unforgettable sunset over the plains from the one of the Sunset Hill viewpoints.

Lunch and dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Bagan.


DAY 5. BAGAN – POPA – BAGAN (B/ L/ D)

After breakfast at your hotel, start your journey to Mt. Popa (75-90 minutes drives from Bagan). It is believed to be the home to 37 Nats, ancient Burmese spirits.

After visiting, we will be drive back to Bagan. On the way, we will stop at a local village to watch demonstrations of toddy and jaggery (palm wine and palm sugar) production.

Then, we will stop at one of the famous the Palm production to enjoy the taste of the toddy juice (Sky Beer) with sunset over the plain of Bagan.

Lunch and Dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Bagan.


DAY 6. BAGAN – YANGON (B /L /D)

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Nyaung U airport for domestic flight back to Yangon.

Upon arrival, we spend colonial walking tour through Yangon.

Proceed to a must visit, Bogyoke Aung San Market known as Scott Market. Then, extended visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monuments; the 2,600 years old Shwedagone Pagoda.

Lunch and dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

Overnight stay at hotel in Yangon.


Day 7. DEPARTURE YANGON (B/ – / -)

After breakfast at hotel, visit to the Sule Pagoda in the middle of the central business district, and Chauk Htet Gyi Pagoda which is famous for housing an enormous 65 meter long reclining Buddha statue. Then, we stop by Karaweik Hall, a unique golden barge on Kandawgyi Lakewhich is a perfect place of taking photo of Shwedagon Pagoda.
Lunch will be served at local restaurant.

After lunch, you will transfer to the Yangon Airport for international flight departure.
