Exploring Myanmar’s Highlights

Yangon –Bagan – Mandalay – Heho – Inle Lake – Yangon (7 Days/ 6 Nights)

DAY 01. YANGON ARRIVAL ( – / L / D )

Upon arrival at the Yangon International Airport, you will be welcomed by Asia EZ Tour guide.

Visit to the magnificent reclining Buddha Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda.

From there, continue to visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monuments; Shwedagone Pagoda.

Lunch and dinner will be served at a local restaurant and you will be stay overnight at the hotel in Yangon.

 


DAY 2. YANGON – BAGAN (B /L / D)

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport for domestic flight to Bagan.

Begin the tour with the famous Shwezigone Pagoda.

Then Wetkyi Inn Gupyaugyi, a cave temple with exquisite mural paintings and the elegant Htilominlo Temple, noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations.

Your visit also include to the Ananda Pagoda (an architectural masterpiece).

In the evening, we resume our journey on horse cart to the Thatbyinnyu ( the highest Pagoda in Bagan), Dhammayangyi (the largest Pagoda in Bagan).

Enjoy unforgettable sunset over the plains from the one of the sunset hill point.

Lunch and dinner will be served at a local restaurant and you will be stay overnight at the hotel in Bagan.


DAY 3. BAGAN (B /L / D)

After breakfast at your hotel, we start the day at the colorful Nyaung Oo Market, where locals come to buy and sell fresh product and other goods every day.

Take a walk around to see the production of Pone Yeh Gyi and other local delicacies.

Then we will continue on to sites of Tayokepyay Temple in Minanthu Village, Phaya Thone Zu and Nandamanya Temples and Kyat Kan Cave.

Afterwards, we head to Myinkaba Village and visit Gubyaukgyi Temple, to admire the beautiful mural paintings and well-preserved plaster carvings.  Nearby are Manuha Temple and Nan Paya Temple.

Your visit also include to the Lacquer ware workshops and woodcrafting workshops. Watch as the skilled craftsmen use techniques passed down through generations to create many kinds of beautiful handicrafts.

Complete a day by cruising sunset over the majestic Ayeyarwaddy River.

Lunch and dinner will be served at a local restaurant and you will be stay overnight at the hotel in Bagan.


DAY 4. BAGAN – MANDALAY – AMARAPURA (B /L / D)

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport for domestic flight to Mandalay.

Upon arrival, visit to the scared Mahamuni Pagoda, one of the famous and a giant glittering golden Buddha statue in Mandalay.
Then visit Shwe Inbin Monastery, Golden Palace Monastery (Shwe Nan Taw), the only remaining building from the 19th century Royal Palace, following the bombings during World War II.

Also visit to Kuthodaw Pagoda, houses the world’s largest book.

We will also visit to the crafting workshops to witness the incredible techniques of wood carving, gold leaf making and kalaga tapestry sewing.

We will end our day with 200 years old teak bridge, U Bein Bridge and enjoy the panoramic sunset view on the Taung Tha Man Lake.

Lunch and dinner will be served at a local restaurant and you will be stay overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.


DAY 5. MANDALAY – HEHO – INLE LAKE (B /L / D)

After an early breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the Nyaung U airport for domestic flight to Heho.

Upon arrival, drive (35 km – 1 ½ hrs) takes you to Nyaung Shwe city and transfer to your hotel by boat.

You will see the fishermen uses unique leg-rowing technique to propel their boats while casting their nets.

Start your visit to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery with a beautiful collection of ancient Buddha images. Proceed to the Nam Pan village to observe the cheroot making factory and wooden boat making.

Return back to your hotel and enjoy beautiful sunset there.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant and Dinner will be served at your hotel.

Overnight stay at the hotel on the Inle Lake.


DAY 6. INLE LAKE (INDEIN) (B /L / D)

After breakfast at the hotel, visit to the 5-day rotating morning lively market.

Continue to Inpawkhon, to visit the weaving work shops threads drawn from the stems of lotus plants.

Then we proceed to the western shore of the lake where you will find the beginning of a stair path leading to the Indein Pagoda complex.

Walk in an easy pace along one of the many creeks passing through rice fields to the villages of Sae Ma.
In the late afternoon, visit to a monastery and return back to your hotel by boat.
On the way back, en-route stop visiting at the Padaung women (long neck ladies).
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant and Dinner will be served at your hotel.
Overnight stay at the hotel on the Inle Lake


DAY 7. HEHO – YAGNON -DEPARTURE (B /L / D)

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Heho airport for domestic flight to Yangon.

After arrival, visit to the Sule Pagoda, which is located at the heart of Yangon down town area and famous Bogyoke Aung San Market (Scott Market).
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Yangon.
If time permit, we stop by Karaweik Hall, a unique golden barge on Kandawgyi Lake.
Then, transfer to the YANGON airport for international flight departure.
